Find A Grave in Annapolis, Maryland - Very upset to find information posted without the family approval

1.0
Details
A representative from an airline asked for death information and was told it was never published for personal reasons. She checked this site and found the information and an unauthorized picture of the grave marker which was on private property. The maker was defaced soon after this was uploaded. We were unable to find a contact other than snail mail.

All memorials are public so there isn't any reason your friend shouldn't be able to see them. Just have him (or her) try again. Good luck.

This is a 3rd party complaint site, not the Find A Grave help forums. No one will be able to help you here. Since you're a member of Find A Grave, send a correction to the manager of the memorial in the wrong cemetery.

This website (Pissed Consumer) is a 3rd party complaint site. It has nothing to do with Find A Grave administration so no one here can help you. You need to contact Find A Grave by email.

Is the grave in a public cemetery or on private land? If it is on private land, someone trespassed unless the marker can be seen from outside the property (such as from the street).

If it can be seen, it can be legally photographed. If it is in a public cemetery, does the cemetery prohibit photography?

If not, there was nothing wrong with taking the photograph. Do you know there are other cemetery websites out there that might also have a photo of your child's grave?
