The other person didn't delete your memorial. Members do not have that ability.

The likely scenario is: someone (any member) saw both memorials and used the 'Report duplicate memorials' utility. Find A Grave administration looked at both memorials, determined the other one was the first legitimately created memorial and merged your duplicate into it.

It is unfortunate that you chose to use Find A Grave without understanding the purpose and policies of the site. Had you understood those two things, you probably would not have had unreasonable expectations of being able to manage the memorials of ALL your relatives.

they have been messing around with my memorials since 2014 taking photos from my husband and putting them with my aunt??????? they have removed family photos saying they did not meet company standards. they have volunteers that go to your memorials and add pictures. people that have no connection to your family. they have facebook page and twitter page. you can use findagravesupport@findagrave.com. they are based in Utah but do not give a phone number for contact. they have no business messing with our deceased relatives. that is your family not theirs

Find A Grave - Incorrect information on graves

I need to contact the individuals who have posted incorrect information concerning my grandmother, grandfather, greats, etc. I do not know how to contact the submitting individuals. The information they have posted is completely inaccurate having my grandmother a half-sibling to her father and my great-grandmother married to her father-in-law. This information needs to be corrected immediately! I do not know where the submitters obtained their information, but I need to get it corrected immediately!

Pros
  • Gives some good information

What was the source of find a grave on an ancestor of mine.

According to FIND A GRAVE my g-g-grandmother Adaline D. Johnson was buried in Mt. Hope & Mausoleum Cemetery in the city of Urbana Ill, in Champaign County Illinois. Yet when I wanted to get some information from the manager of the cemetery, they told me she was not buried there. Is it possible to find out the source of your information. I am not able to locate her day, or month of death just the year 1885. I have Affiliate Record Identifier: 169478800 If that would help Adaline D. Woolley Johnson

Find A Grave - Connecting the deceased to another family member

How do you connect the person in the memorial that you had created to another family member who has recently died. In this case I would be connecting her to her sister. In the old version of FAG, there was a place to do this and one just had to put in the memorial number.

This is a terrible company. They are out to take your money and do nothing for you. They don't even have a phone number where they can be contacted. No phone number is a sign that the company is doing illegal things and is being run by crooks.

The photos we add to memorials are supposed to be OF the deceased or their grave. In other words, all of the photos on Ronald Reagan's memorial should be of him OR include him, such as a snapshot of him and Ron Jr.

There should NOT be a photo of Ron Jr. if Ronald was not also in the photo.

Posting photos of ourselves to a memorial is okay IF, and ONLY if, said photo also contains the deceased. It's not Find A Grave's fault you didn't understand the rules.
