Find a grave does not enforce the rules set up in their TOS. I requested my great grandparent transferred to me (as in their TOS) from a non relative. I was refused and when I complained the administrators refused to answer my emails. Find a Grave is owned by...

For the life of me, I can never understand these contributors who refuse to transfer memorials to the rightful family members. I just dont understand thier possessiveness in hanging onto the great grandparents memorials that they are not related to..how would they feel if some total stranger REFUSED to transfer thier very own great-grandparents to them?

Find A Grave in San Antonio, Texas - Wrong picture

Sirs, I had come across the obituary for the late Benjamin J. "Benny" Spelman and I must say, that the photo is of Lloyd Price, a great performer in his own right and is still among the LIVING !! I am surprised that no one has caught this one. As long as I have been a member of Find a Grave, I have never come across anything like this. I'm sure that Mr. Price, his family and fans as well as Mr. Spell- mans family wouldn't take too kindly to this, BUT ! we're all human and as you know we do and will make mistakes. I think that Find a Grave is doing a great job so keep up the good work. Peace.

Typical f.a.g.it members violating copyrights by posting a photo that katzizkidz (#47057151) does NOT own and did NOT personally take and did NOT get permission to use. And from the looks of it katzizkidz (#47057151) makes a habit of stealing photos and posting them to f.a.g.

Find a grave needs change their policy and develop a good set of rules for people to go by who put up memorials on their site. Find a grave has become very famous for being disrespectful, rude to people and the public who are in mourning.

Some of their worker ants are bully gluttons and quite abusive to families of deceased family members.

It has become a swamp of BULLIES and an abusive website. Truly sad!

Wait a minute! I didn't read your entire post b/c you mentioned you asked for a refund for "sponsoring" memorials.

This information that you've been posting is not yours to decide to post and the website doesn't "own" the information so you shouldn't be giving them money for anything.

I think people are right though the site should be sued for fraud but not for the reasons the contributors think. You've all been used.

Death records are not a matter of public record, and it is not mandatory for a public death notice to be published anywhere. And you can't just post the information anywhere you want, and if you are posting memorials for graves that are less than 75 years old than you are most likely giving fraudsters the information they want.

Think about what you use to answer security questions.

This information was not for you or anyone else on that site to decide to take and post anywhere you want. You should all be charged with crimes.

What made you believe this was appropriate.

I SHOUT IN ALL CAPS AT PEOPLE ALL THE TIME BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE A VALID ARGUMENT AND I KNOW IT. SOMETIMES WHEN I YELL LIKE THIS PEOPLE RUN AWAY AND I FEEL LIKE I WON, BUT REALLY I JUST GO HOME AND CUT MYSELF. :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry

Find-A-Grave doesn't do anything wrong. And that's why you're on here ***; because you know there's nothing wrong going on here. Just something that you don't like. And you know there's nothing you can do about something you simply do not like. Because you are poor and powerless. You *** peon. Kill yourself.

How do you know who your *** granny knew and did not know? I bet she fuked the whole town 3x over; that stank *** I'll go *** on her grave right now and there's nothing you can do about it.

You just don't get it. Nobody is required to respect anything you believe in. Ever. They might have to tolerate you, but they don't have to do things the way you want just because you're old dead granny's panties are in a twist.

I joined the website because I was looking for my relatives that passed away. Some of them I didn't know where they were buried before I joined.

Now, I know where most of them are, even my ancestors. It started out as one thing and now I help others find their relatives and ancestors. As for the ads, it's how websites make money. It has nothing to do with your family or staining your family's name.

I also make no money on the memorials I have added or manage. I would turn it down if I was offered. Most of the members are on the website because they love history, including myself. If a person wants a profile I manage because they are related to that said person.

I have no issue handing it over to them. People have done the same for me. That being said, there are a few on the website who don't care for history and have no respect for the goals of the website of helping others and preserving history. It is a numbers game to them and they should be banned immediately!

One idiot you ran into shouldn't sully the websites good nature. Email the admins and tell them that this person has false information and that you want it changed.

There is no reason why it should be deleted because you don't care for preserving history. Stop being selfish.
